All of the writings in which Walter Benjamin addresses the subject of photography – from the famous “Little History of Photography”, to excerpts from his major work on Parisian passages, to his texts on the work of art at the time of its technical reproducibility – is here brought together for the first time in a single volume.
In addition, there are six texts on photography, some of which have never been translated into French.
Benjamin’s reflection in these selected texts announces the essential modernity of photography and anticipates the future of contemporary art.
