Poster Alphabet Truck

Formerly in the form of a portfolio (Vol.1 and Vol.2 – Florence Loewy edition), the Alphabet truck series of Eric Tabuchi continues today as a poster.

The missing link between The back of all trucks passed while driving from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara by John Baldessari’s and Auchan, Claude Closky’s alphabet of marks, Alphabet Truck, completing a work that represents thousands of miles travelled for several years, the burlesque or compulsive logic of Eric Tabuchi’s plays in an almost derisory quest for what could be his Danish and Japanese origins. Through language (Alphabet) and displacement (Trucks), Alphabet Truck questions, beyond the formal and referential aspect, the notions of belonging, identity and diversity.
