Pista

This book is a collection of images gathered during a research project in Naples in November-December 2023. The sixty-three pages of the book are independent and can be reorganised ad infinitum thanks to the binding system chosen: the archive fastener.

The artist’s research began with Nan Goldin’s Ten Years After, which led her to follow in her footsteps, photographing various locations in the Naples region. On the lookout, Léa Lerma observes the links between her photographs, her story and the images that run through her daily life during her own Italian Remedy. The silhouettes of her friends, the Italian film diaries, the landscapes of Positano, the remains of Herculaneum and the threat of Vesuvius resonate with the story told by Nan Goldin in 1998.
