“One afternoon, my grandparents asked me to go with them to visit a friend of theirs who lives in a detached house in Château-du-Loir. The trees in her garden produce more fruit than she can eat. I immediately accepted the offer, which had a particular resonance for me, because after the Medium-sized Town edition, it was an opportunity to get back into the city. With their help, I photographed all three of them, rather than picking peaches.
