NY Apples and Pears

Colombian-born Swiss artist Guadalupe Ruiz is known for her encyclopaedic photographic process, in which she builds vast typologies of the endless visual and architectural motifs and languages that inform our experience of life in the city and the fractured nature of identity. NY Apples and Pears is a playful, aesthetically concise series made by collaging and arranging photographs of fruit shot in the iconic American city. It arrives as part pf a series of three zines published by Swiss imprint Kodoji Press to coincide with the 2017 LA Art Book Fair.
