Manon, Zürich-Paris

The Pictures taken between 1977 and 1980 are based mostly on sketches and notes for the now well-known photo series “La dame au crâne rasé” (“The Woman with the Shaved Head”).
Plenty of snapshots that Manons then partner, assistant, student and jack-of-all-trades Thierry Wurth (1952 – 2006) had taken, more or less on the sly. The images were recently discovered by accident and have never been published before. They document the time when Manon first moved to Paris and her travels going back to Zurich every now and then.

Manon, aka Rosemarie Küng, born June 26, 1946 in Bern, is a Swiss feminist performer, primarily known for her performance, installation and photography work.
