Le conflit intérieur

This book brings together the photographs of Gilles Caron (1939-1970) covering the conflicts of the 1960s in Israel, Ireland, Chad, Biafra, Vietnam and Cambodia, often in the company of Don McCullin. His images of May 68 are also iconic. It is composed of seven chapters: heroism, inner view, pain of others, revolt movement, New Wave, unhappy conscience. This beautiful book with its rich iconography and under the direction of Michel Poivert, historian of photography and president of the French Society of Photography for 15 years, will be released on the occasion of a very large exhibition dedicated to Gilles Caron.
