Covering ten years of work, the book reflects the artist’s interest in the visual and plastic aspects of photography as she explores the medium’s inventive potential. Created through a combination of chemistry, light and time, Tiberghien’s abstract prints emerge from a masterful approach to composition and color. The surface, in this case the type of paper selected for a specific print, also plays a crucial role in achieving the desired result.

The book’s design, by SP Millot, combines the text of an essay by Erik Verhagen to punctuate the images, just as the images propel the text.
