La veille du ciel

Every day, from 1912 to 1951, André des Gachons, symbolist illustrator and amateur meteorologist, observed and reproduced the state of the sky and its variations, composing a unique body of work featuring some 9,000 drawings and watercolors, the vast majority of which have now disappeared. La Veille du ciel brings together over 200 plates, drawings and documents held by Météo-France, the French National Archives and private collections.
