La nuit, tu mens

“On February 22, 2018, my father writes me a letter. It becomes the starting point of my series La nuit, tu mens. I am 19 years old and I decide to answer him.” Ambre Husson

At the same time, Ambre moved to Brussels.

Since that day, Ambre, carrying her photographic room and its decorations, advances by building each image. All the pictures are thought in the form of small sketches. Then comes the making of each element that composes it, the shooting is only an end.

Editions la CAB and Ambre Husson met during their training in Brussels, at ESA le 75, where the project La nuit, tu mens was born. After le 75, Editions la CAB was born and Ambre moved to Arles. Since then, the series has evolved and the desire to make a book has made its way. During a visit to Brussels, Ambre meets La CAB and they discuss together about a possible collaboration. Very quickly, the decision is made to publish La nuit, tu mens with a launch at the Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles 2022.

“It is through this answer to my father that my practice of photography really begins” says Ambre Husson.
