La Beauté des Lignes presents a selection of masterpieces from the history of photography from the Sondra Gilman and Celso Gonzalez-Falla collection of over 1500 original prints by the greatest photographers of the 20th and 21st centuries, based in New York. Through formal and visual confrontations, the reader is invited to experience the power of the photographic line through these sublime works. The photographs of Berenice Abbott, Eugene Atget, Robert Adams, Walker Evans, Vik Muniz, Man Ray, Nan Goldin and Lee Friedlander, among others, resonate beyond their historical temporality or geographical considerations, through formal correspondences.
