Biomimético-imago: bivalve, image sensible

“Images are at the heart of scientific discoveries. In this sense, they foreshadow transformations in our relationship with the world. In my theoretical and visual research I explore their power and their role in the construction of our constantly renewed human perceptions, their power and role in the construction of our constantly renewed human perceptions. The Biomimético imago project revolves around these sensitive images, and is divided into several chapters to be started between 2022 and 2023. Chapter I begins with research into bivalves, establishing that this animal, which is traversed by the fields of human and social sciences, constitutes this sensitive image, an image in the making. This edition is devoted to the ongoing film project Biomimético imago (Bivalve, sensitive image), which explores this animal figure: a mollusc with two shells. Both a space and a tool for reflection, it shows the first images from a shoot in progress and precedes the completion of an eponymous film combining science and fiction”.
