The catalog of a major Becher retrospective at The Metropolitan Museum, New York, in 2022 which traces the biographical and art historical aspects of Bernd and Hilla Becher‘s seminal œuvre. Focussing on the vocabulary of the visible and systematically exploring a single subject – industrial architecture – they founded and pioneered a new tradition of documentary photography.
