Accustomed to the art of staging and the game of revealing oneself beyond one’s limits, Sophie Calle here re-exploits the theme of autobiography by giving a voice to the Other, blind from birth or deprived of sight following an accident, in his or her difference and singularity.

Through a dialectic between the testimonies of several generations of blind people and the photographic work she has produced based on these accounts, Sophie Calle proposes a reflection on absence, on the deprivation and compensation of meaning, on the notion of the visible and the invisible.
