MARIA STAMENKOVIĆ HERRANZ - THIS MORTAL HOUSE BUILDING 1

delpire & co is delighted to welcome artist Maria Stamenković Herranz for the launch of This Mortal House Building 1 published by Palais Books.

This Mortal House Building 1 seeks to translate into editorial form the artist’s eponymous performance at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum in Istanbul (February-March 2020).

For 24 days, the artist built a brick labyrinth in the museum space, blindfolded, then destroyed it on the last day. Based on the numerous photographs documenting the performance, the book offers a non-linear reading, itself subject to construction and deconstruction.
