Los Angeles Standards is a monumental photographic portrait of the City of Angels, comprising more than 1,300 photographs classified into 15 ordinary typologies characteristic of its urban fabric: mini malls, billiards, parking lots, freeways, dingbats, etc.
Taken between 2008 and 2012 by Caroline and Cyril Desroche, French architects who came to live and work in Los Angeles, these images were published in a book with the eponymous title by Poursuite editions in 2020, selected by the Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation First Photobook Award 2020.
For Paris Design Week, delpire & co publishes a selection of 15 prints in a silkscreened box, each illustrating one of the typologies determined by the authors to draw their portrait of the city.
