delpire & co is delighted to welcome Olivier Duport and Alan Marzo (FLEE Project) and artist Lina Tsrimova, for a musical performance and the launch of the project “Ulyap Songs: Beyond Circassian Tradition”.
For this fifth opus in the FLEE series, a double sound compilation and a nearly 300-page art book on the subject of the criminal and drinking music of the North Caucasus will be presented, shedding light on traditions as little-known as they are rich, and revealing avant-garde contemporary reinterpretations.
Founded in 2016, the creative platform FLEE is a label, independent publishing house and curatorial platform in one, dedicated to the documentation and artistic reinterpretation of hybrid musical phenomena.
The platform, which champions a transdisciplinary practice, creatively explores and highlights the contours of globalization from a historical and critical perspective. Oscillating between different subjects and disciplines, from music to architecture, the collective pursues an inclusive working method, privileging diverse and varied points of view.
