On the occasion of the launch of the book Artistes Typographes published by Tombolo presses, the bookshop is delighted to welcome Léo Carbonnet and Léonore Conte for a discussion, as well as Alex Balgiu and graphic design students from Paris College of Art for a voice & gesture proposition around the page as score, with the special participation of typographic artist Megan O’Connell.
The book is a visual corpus of one hundred and thirty-two artists’ books collected and reproduced during an artistic residency at the Centre es livres d’artistes. The images presented testify to the interest of several figures in the art world in the materials of the book object. They direct the eye towards singular compositions and other typographic details: handwritten lettering, type designs, stamps, logotypes.
