FLORENCE MIAILHE - LA TRAVERSÉE

The bookshop is pleased to present a selection of works on paper by Florence Miailhe, to coincide with the publication of La Traversée by delpire & co.

In this stunning sketchbook, readers will discover a selection of 147 paintings and sketches from Florence Miailhe’s unpublished work, created for the eponymous film. Inspired by her own family’s history, Marie Desplechin tells the initiatory journey of two teenagers, Kyona and Adriel, who were forced to flee their home country. A captivating story told by the two distinct voices of Florence Miailhe and Marie Desplechin.

Opening on December 7 at 6:30pm, in the presence of the artist and Marie Desplechin, with a discussion of the book and film moderated by Xavier Kawa-Topor.
