delpire & co is pleased to welcome César Rodríguez for a meeting on the occasion of the launch of Hoja dorada, ‘golden leaf’, a testimony to the lives of tobacco workers in Mexico, published by KWY Ediciones.
César Rodríguez is a Mexican photographer originally from Nayarit and currently based in Mexico City. His photographic work focuses on issues concerning immigration, human rights and the impact of climate change on people.
He has participated in workshops with : Mary Ellen Mark, Jaime Permuth, Javier Arcenillas, Narciso Contreras, Andrew Lichtenstein and Maggie Steber, among others. Her work has been published in the following magazines: Time Magazine, Washington Post Magazine, National Geographic, Der Spiegel, The New York Times Lens Blog, MSNBC, Buzzfeed, CBS, El Pais Semanal, El Pais, Le Monde, Huffington Post, Bloomberg Media, The Guardian, LA Times, The Washington Post, Milenio, El Universal, LAT Photo Magazine, La Jornada, PDN online, BBC News, Cuartoscuro(México), VICE(Us and México), among others.
His previous project, Montaña Roja, published by KWY Ediciones, has been among the finalists of the last edition of the Paris Photo and Aperture Foundation Book Prize.
