

American photographer born in 1948, Susan Meiselas began her career photographing people in her neighborhood, with whom she has remained in contact to this day. A committed artist and exhibited around the world, she is known for her reportage work in Nicaragua and her collaborative approach to photography. A member of Magnum Photos, she is now president of the Magnum Foundation, dedicated to mentoring young professional photographers. Her work was the subject of a retrospective at the Jeu de Paume in Paris in 2018: Mediations.
