Jean-Marie Donat is a publisher and collector of photography. His collection, built up over more than thirty years, includes nearly 40,000 prints, ektachromes and negatives from all over the world and covering more than a century of photographic history (1880-1990). It is mainly composed of amateur and anonymous photographs. From this work of sedimentation over time and introspection on this collection, Jean-Marie Donat builds, since the 1980s, this photographic corpus with the desire to give a singular reading of the twentieth century.
