Born in 1962 in Rome, Zizola is a committed photojournalist. Since the 1980s, he has covered major world conflicts, focusing on social and humanitarian issues. His personal missions and projects have taken him around the world, giving him the opportunity to take an interest in subjects often overlooked by mainstream media. Robert Delpire first published the work of Zizola in États d’enfances in the Photo Poche Société collection in 1999 and another book Né quelque part in 2004. In 2008, Zizola founded the 10b Photography Gallery in Rome, a multipurpose center promoting the culture of photography through exhibitions, workshops and conferences. He is the recipient of several awards – including the prestigious World Press Photo – and is one of the founders of the agency Noor Images.
