Sarah Moon, born in 1941, develops her personal work around three themes: the evanescence of beauty, the uncertain and the passage of time. Fashion, but also nature, are very present in her images, always shrouded in blur. Particularly famous for her Polaroids, her half-tone photographs and her effaced faces, Sarah Moon has published numerous books, including Coïncidences, published by Robert Delpire, and 1.2.3.4.5, which won the Nadar prize.
She has also directed several feature and medium-length films on photography and photographers. Sarah Moon has received numerous awards for her work and has been exhibited and recognized throughout the world. In 2021, the Museum of Modern Art in Paris presented PasséPrésent a retrospective of her work.
