Autobiogéographies

Autobiogéographies, suite is the result of a literary creation workshop led twice by Marcelline Delbecq at ENSAD, between 2022 and 2024. Invented for this atelier and proposed as a basis for reflection, the term Autobiogéographies is intended to echo singular experiences shared through writing, in a particularly troubled social and global context.
They worked out loud or in silence, in the studio or outside, to think about autobiography in terms of the places they have travelled through: places of childhood or imagination, places of work or daily life, places of memory dreamt of, read, painted, photographed or filmed by themselves or others, places surveyed or observed like so many settings and materials encountered by bodies.
In Ardèche, a hamlet, ashes; from a bedroom, a view of the park and its gate; the edge of Greater Paris on the scale of a body; between Lyon and Istanbul, visions and languages merge; groping for a shadow stretched out over the sea; fragments of scattered memories resurface; a corridor, a chapel, a station, a lake… and the earth seen from above, so far away and yet…
