Jean de Loisy is an art historian and independent curator. He has been curator at the Fondation Cartier (1990), the Centre Georges Pompidou (1994), Executive Chairman of the Palais de Tokyo (2011 to 2017) and Director of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (2018 – 2022).
From 2011 to 2022, he produced the weekly art history programs Les Regardeurs and L’art et la matière for France Culture.
Curator of numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, he has accompanied the emergence or rediscovery of artists.
