Harry Gruyaert, born 1941 in Antwerp, Belgium, studied photography and cinema in Brussels before working as director of photography for Flemish television. His work was noticed by Robert Delpire who shows for the first time his seminal series TV Shots at his gallery in Paris in 1974. He began his work on Belgium in 1975 which Delpire published as the book Made In Belgium in 2000, then traveled the world, including the United States, Morocco and India. Member of Magnum Photos since 1982.
