From the beaches of the Baie de Somme to those of Morocco or India, Harry Gruyaert has been recording the subtle chromatic pulsations of the world’s shores for over 40 years. Blurred, threatening or clear skies, plays of shadows and alchemies of horizons reveal the obsessions of his gaze.

The photographer seeks the fulgurating moment, when the light floods and cuts the space. Fifteen years after the first edition of a series that has become mythical, Harry Gruyaert enriches it with some fifty new images that reveal the inexhaustible possibilities of poetic wonder.
