Current Condition is a photo novel in four chapters—summer, autumn, winter and spring. The book is about Generation X and their approach to adulthood. According to many studies, the word “stress” is used very often by this group of the population. Current Condition aims to examine the nature of this stress by comparing Generation X with other generations.
Nina Strand is a photographer, writer and founder of the Norwegian newspaper Objektiv Press. She recently wrote the essays Perpetual Photographs and Visual Wanderings for Objektiv Press and published her photo novel Residency (working title) with Subjektiv Press. The artist is a regular contributor of essays on photography to several Norwegian and international publications and has participated in and organised several exhibitions in Scandinavia and Europe.
