delpire & co invites Kateryna Radchenko, curator and photography researcher, founder and director of the Odesa Photo Days festival, to present two recent publications:
Images Tell Stories (published in collaboration with the Finnish Museum of Photography), focuses on vernacular ways of reading photography based on family photo albums taken in Ukraine and Finland;
The Information Front (a journal founded by Kateryna Radchenko, Donald Weber and Christopher Noon and edited by SYB), is an archive of photographs documenting the war in Ukraine between February and April 2022. The journal brings together the work of Ukrainian photographers from all over the country.
Activities will be accompanied by the pop-up exhibition of young Ukrainian photographers: Stanislav Boyko, Tim Melnikov, and Ivan Samoilov. They are participants of the online Photographic Storytelling Mentoring Programme organised by Odesa Photo Days Festival with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in September-November 2022. Young artists from Kharkiv, Odesa, and Kyiv documented the war in Ukraine and expressed their feeling about life during the war.
Exceptional opening of the bookshop on Sunday, November 27 and Monday, November 28 from 1pm to 6pm.
Free entrance.
