L'amour seul brisera nos coeurs

L’amour seul brisera nos cœurs is a free exchange between the images of Bérangère Fromont and the texts of Elodie Petit.

The project was born from a desire to fill the gaps in the representations of sexual minorities and queer identities, to regain a place in the public space at the same time as in the history of art. To fight against erasure, invisibilization, using photography both as a medium of revelation and an archive. This work focuses on the representation of lesbians who are at the intersection of several discriminations. Underrepresented, invisibilized, fantasized, distorted in art as in society. It is about love and revolution.

Fiévreuse plébéienne is a text that questions the way of inhabiting one’s body, the world, one’s desires. “It speaks of love, precariousness, punk and emo joy, sexuality. It directly entangles the body with politics, it advocates loud and clear experimentation and satire, it specifies a very strong desire to make the revolution.”
